(OOC: Why am I posting all the threads? X3)

"Chaos, Chaos get your ass back here you son of a-!"  A brazen voice called out across the courtyard and the said man with violet hair glanced back, crimson eyes blazing amusement.  His body adorned in an open black vest that revealed a well toned chest and slim fitting black jeans, while a threaded necklace wound around his neck, his trade black coat lay open and unzipped.

"Why?"  He asked smiling innocently.

"You stupid-!  Because we're supposed to do a job!"  He snapped angrily as he caught up with the demon panting.  Chaos's grin grew.  Bending in to press a kiss to the man's cheek, he ignored the indignant spluttering he received in reply, and instead straightened, before treating his companion to a sly wink.

"I apologize love, if you got the impression I gave a rats ass."  And then he vanished into a pool of shadow.

Reappearing onto the balcony of a tower, he glanced about and smiled.

The Tower of Trials, a cesspool of monsters set in the NorthEast part of town, created to test would be knights but open to the public and any who could fight and wanted to see their capability.  Lovely, he could use picking off some hapless adventurers who thought they could take on the world.  Turning into the tower, he let his crimson eyes glow in full and smirked.

Jory glanced in his direction.

"I'm looking for someone. This is the best place to get your bearings."

She turned her head so that she was looking at him full-on. "By the way, are you trying to seduce me?"
1st-Jul-2006 04:41 am (UTC) - Chaos
Chaos laughed.

"No dear one, if I was trying, I'm fairly sure you'd be in my arms. Then again you may be one out of a million who can actually resist me." He said in a smarmy manner.

Jory blinked. Well, he wasn't full of himself at all.

"I certainly hope I am," she murmured, and then drew a picture out of her cape. "Have you seen this girl, by any chance?"

The picture showed a girl dressed all a long black dress, with long brown hair and brilliant green eyes. She was staring into the camera, a slight smile on her lips as she walked across through a garden.

"Her name is Katherine."

Chaos resisted the urge to pout, jeez, talk about stomping on the male ego.

Good thing he was more attracted to men then women.
Well... to be fair, not by much.

But he wouldn't be Chaos Arcana Yoleil if he gave up so easily, persistance for the good of Chaos!

"No, I would remember such a face, though yours is admittedly far prettier." He said peering at the picture and commiting the face to memory, though he could swear he had seen it before...

"Would you like me to help you look for her my dear lady?"
1st-Jul-2006 05:10 am (UTC) - Jory
Other girls, Jory thought, would probably blush and swoon at such comments. Thank the gods she had abandoned emotion a long time ago. She fixed the man with a disinterested gaze, then looked down at the ground.

"Well, if you could look, that would be helpful. I need to...speak with her about something. Just try to keep up."

And with that, she jumped off the balcony.

A few seconds later, she hit the bottom, with only as much force as to put some slight cracks in the ground. Her sudden appearance did not go unnoticed, however, and several bystanders gasped. She ignored all of these, and started walking away, without checking to see if the demon was behind her.

And as she walked, it occured to her that she didn't know his name yet.
1st-Jul-2006 05:37 am (UTC) - Chaos
Chaos glanced at her interestedly as she leapt the balcony and chuckled.

Now he definitely wanted her.

Opting instead of jumping, he called his shadows to him, and less then a the time it took to blink later he appeared beneath a shadowed awning next to a shop and stepped into daylight, five feet in front of her, arms crossed, looking still cheerful.

"Where to my beauty?" He asked, giving her a sweeping bow, and idly zipping his jacket when he realized people, mostly girls, were staring at him.

Flattering... but it was like cattle to him, nothing but simple minded folk unable to comprehend the apocalypse/slaughter house they were headed towards.
1st-Jul-2006 06:05 am (UTC) - Jory
Jory continued walking, concealing her surprise.

"I was hoping you could help me with that. I am not familiar with these streets." She paused. "She...Katherine loved books and music." She sinced slightly as she used the past tense. "That is, she still does. Perhaps a library, a large one?"

She stopped and turned. "By the way, I'm not comfortable working with a stranger. I'm Jory. And you are?" She held out a hand.
1st-Jul-2006 06:24 am (UTC) - Chaos
Chaos smiled at her, taking her hand and bending slightly so that he brushed the knuckles of her hand with his lips.

Straightening, he let his eyes lose their brilliant sheen, and though they remained crimson, they were now less noticeable as he treated her to a suddenly sinister smirk.

"Chaos, dear one. My name is Chaos Yoleil of Exile." He said and still holding her hand, he brought it to his cheek slightly and nuzzled against it seemingly, before letting it go. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance my dear Jory."

Putting a bit of distance between them by taking two steps back to avoid any... uncomfortable contact, he smiled normally again.

"No libraries that I've heard of, but if you're looking for reading material in general, there are several temples in this area with many archives, they would be what you could consider libraries perhaps?" He suggested.
2nd-Jul-2006 03:46 am (UTC) - Jory
Jory arched an eyebrow slightly at Chaos' introduction. A shiver had run through her, and her hand was tingling a bit; hidden beneath her cloak, she balled it into a fist. She had an uneasy feeling of having Chaos as a companion, but she had a snagging suspicion that it would be difficult to get rid of him with the kind of power he had.

What was I thinking? she thought. She already had her team looking for Katherine. She didn't need an outsider.

Not much she could do about it now.

She nodded to him. "So far it's all I have to go on. Lead on, if you will."
2nd-Jul-2006 06:47 am (UTC) - Chaos
Chaos smiled, ah good, the charm hadn't vanished completely.

Bowing politely once more he gave a grand sweep of his arm, bidding her to walk beside him as he started towards the northern sector of the square.

"The closest temple is... to one of the belief there is only one true divine god. How narrow minded don't you think?"
2nd-Jul-2006 06:53 am (UTC) - Jory
Jory's mouth twitched. (OOC: aka, her version of a smile.)

"It is more narrow-minded, I think, to believe there are no gods whatsoever."

Like I was seven years ago.

She glanced at Chaos. "By the way, why were you on the balcony back there?"
5th-Jul-2006 03:17 am (UTC) - Chaos
Chaos smiled at her and chuckled.

"True enough." And then he smiled at her a little mysteriously.

"Oh... this and that, killing some opponents, enjoying the view, what not. I've been bored as of late, you have provided me with a challenge and I am extremely grateful to you for doing so." He said with a small bow and a grin.
