Dark Alliance
Tina (Open Thread, not that we expect many surprise entrances)
8th-Nov-2006 05:12 pm
An undetermined amount of time later, Tina was on the road again. She was assured that Heji would come around back to this area of Sky City soon enough, but still - as she dug into another chocolate bar - she felt worried.

...Worried? Well, not truly worried, she reminded herself. There was no reason to worry; Heji was exceedingly powerful and confident, and she assumed his power had only increased when he was deemed Ten'yo along with her.
Oh, wait, she knew why she was worried. It was a natural beacon. Since Heji could sense negative emotion, she - with the control of her feelings that only a genius could possess - was granting him with something to follow back to her. Yes, that was it.
Now, where could one get alchemical supplies in this city...
9th-Nov-2006 02:18 am (UTC)
Striker wandered the streets, his black cloak wrapped securely about his shoulders as he glanced about.

How wonderful, lost in a new city on the first day of his assignment here.

Absolutely, freaken wonderful.

It wasn't until he spotted someone he had become quite familiar with text wise in a muggy classroom a few afternoons ago...

"Well hello Miss Tina." He said pleasantly to the young woman with a deep bow.

(OOC: Breaking fourth walls, I know, bite me! XD)
9th-Nov-2006 02:38 am (UTC) - Tina
(OOC: Horray. o-o)

Tina blinked, recognizing the fellow quickly.
"Good day," she said, nodding her head slightly as she swallowed down the last of her chocolate bar, discarding the wrapper. "How fare you? I'm recent to this city, and I haven't had time to find a map. Do you know of a store that sells the wares for Alchemy?"
9th-Nov-2006 02:49 am (UTC) - Striker
Striker gave her a stunningly charming smile and pointed in the general north direction.

"Not precisely, but I imagine like all other large settlements that all shops would be in the market section. Would you like me to take you Miss Tina?" He offered quietly, his good manners dictating him so.
9th-Nov-2006 02:52 am (UTC) - Tina
Tina smiled inwardly, but if people could look into her mind, it would seem like a rather sinister one.

"Why yes, I would," she stated, beginning to walk where he had pointed. "Now, let us talk - royal matters, issues of your kingdom, the like..."
9th-Nov-2006 03:01 am (UTC) - Striker
Striker blinked at her, confused, but gave in.

"As you wish, what would you like to know?"
9th-Nov-2006 03:13 am (UTC) - Tina and Sanako
"Oh, anything you would like to begin with," Tina replied, shrugging a little. "I have an interest in international matters, especially if they may be my nations somed-"

A gigantic dragon suddenly slammed into the empty street in front of them, sliding for a long distance before stopping, apparently dead. A comparatively much smaller figure stood atop it, taking notice of Tina quickly.

It jumped off, clearing a great distance in the air and hitting the ground on a a foot and one knee, a few meters in front of them. It then stood, smiling and waving a hand, which still had a bloody katar strapped to it.

"Well hello, dear sister!" Sanako greeted cheerily, taking a rag from his pocket and absently wiping his weapons clean. Two sheathed daggers were also strapped to his belt.

Tina could nearly hear her chance of attaining royal status being sucked down the drain...
9th-Nov-2006 03:15 am (UTC) - Striker
Striker looked apparently completely unfazed by the appearance of Sanako and instead gave him a polite bow.

"Miss Tina's brother I presume." He said politely before turning to Tina herself.

"I apologize, what were you saying before?" He said mildly.
9th-Nov-2006 03:28 am (UTC) - Tina & Sanako
Sanako nodded, smiling and giving an overzealous bow. "Sanako Lante, messanger of mirth, bringer of good justice and professional dragon-dispatcher."

"'Professional' something every time..." muttered Tina, looking at her brother with eyes similar to how a snarling wolf would look at a fat, one-legged pig. She turned back to Striker, resigned.
"The last word in the sentence was 'someday'," she stated, "but don't think on it. Hm, it's fair weather..."
She began walking again, going around the dragon corpse.
9th-Nov-2006 03:39 am (UTC) - Striker
Striker smiled and followed her lead calmly, not yet quite taking into effect what she had said.

In fact he didn't react truly to anything until he felt something stir within him. Blinking, he coughed into his hand to grab their attention and smiled.
"Pardon me." He commented idly as he held out his right hand, palm up, and a red feather was projected above the center of his hand.

He stared at it for a moment, before it vanished, and he let his hand drop.

"It appears to be something of a sibling day... my sister will be arriving shortly." He said smiling.
9th-Nov-2006 03:44 am (UTC) - Sanako and Tina
"Oh, how lovely," said Sanako, smiling. He considered the young man for a moment, before adding. "Would you be a mage of some kind? There are all sorts of odd and wonderful powers that I've never seem those of our homeland capable of here."
Tina sighed, turned toward them. More royalty for Sanako to ruin her reputation in front of, excellent...
9th-Nov-2006 03:48 am (UTC) - Striker
Striker treated Sanako to a bright and cheery smile.
"Possibly, but I'll have to beg forgiveness, I don't like to show my abilities without good cause, they tend to raise a stir and I much rather like getting as little attention as possible in public." He said smiling.

"I'm sure you can relate." He added before smiling at Tina.

"But we seem to have forgotten about your sister in this conversation..."
9th-Nov-2006 04:04 am (UTC) - Sanako & Tina
"Ah, of course, I see..." said Sanako, looking back to the dragon. "You're right in a manner. I wouldn't have brought this beast to the middle of the street were it my choice. I was simply standing idle on what they call the Tower of Trials' balcony, and it decided to make an effort on my flesh. After it had eaten the balcony, I found no alternative but to battle the dragon atop the dragon and, well, I find myself here.

"Oh, and of course, dear sister," he continued, turning his attention to her and suddenly noticing an absence. "...But where has young Heji gone?"

"He is away, Sanako," Tina replied, leaning a shoulder against the dragon's side. "Where to, I'm not sure - he was suddenly teleported away by someone described as 'testing his power'. He could be anywhere within the caster's range, but I'm assured he's safe and will be able to find a way back."

"I see..." said Sanako, his head tilted somewhat in contemplation.
9th-Nov-2006 04:13 am (UTC) - Striker and Rhia
Striker would have made a mild comment had he not suddenly been stopped by the sight of white pegasus flying above.

As it came to a halt, a small figure dropped from the creature's back and landed before Striker, waving farewell to the pegasus as it flew off.

"There you are, hope I didn't intrude." Rhia commented smiling lightly.
9th-Nov-2006 04:18 am (UTC) - Sanako and Tina
Sanako took notice of the young woman, and bowed, straightening himself to speak.
"Sanako La-"

"Absolutely not, madam," said Tina, trating her wings out to obscure Sanako's face with one. "I was just heading to the markets to shop - perhaps sell some of my surprisingly valuable wares to high-class merchants as well. My name is Tina Lante, acquaintence of your brother's."
9th-Nov-2006 04:27 am (UTC) - Striker and Rhia
Noticing the quick cover up, Rhia chose to ignore it and instead gave a short curtsy to Tina smiling.
"Most charmed. I wasn't aware my brother could make friends, he's shy as a turtle I'm sure you've noticed." She commented wrily as Striker flushed.
"Rhia..." He hissed glaring at her and she grinned.
"Rhiannon Ramunetasha de Rashin at your service." She said to Tina smiling.
9th-Nov-2006 04:40 am (UTC) - Sanako & Tina
"Most pleased to make your acquaintence," said Tina, though her wing's place kept her from making an honourable gesture. "Are you the great monarch that I have heard so much about, then? How fares your empire?"

Sanako patiently waited behind the wing. He knew that Tina could be embarassed by him, and that she was probably attempting to get another noble securely into her list, and that she should have grown out of this habit quite a while ago... Then again, this time it seemed to almost be making progress.
9th-Nov-2006 04:47 am (UTC) - Rhia and Striker
Rhia smiled serenly at Tina.

"As well as can be expected when you've four countries to manage, a housefull of restless siblings and a fiance who you're just dying to kill." She commented inviting Tina to join in on the joke with a laugh.

Striker winced.
"Alexander didn't say it again did he...?" He moaned.

Rhia's expression went malicious and Striker needed no further answer.

"Uhm... Miss Tina, this as you may have gathered is my sister, Rhia who oversees most of the kingdoms' reconstruction and stability."
9th-Nov-2006 04:58 am (UTC) - Sanako and Tina
"I have gathered," said Tina, smiling a little at the joke. She wasn't one to laugh outright unless it were a sarcastic/sinister chuckle... or, well, the prime weakness of most children. "You know, I am a fan of the arranged marriage in nobility, but I still believe that it must be someone proper to the cause. Someone bright, sociable, and basically above the average human in any and all manners."

Listening to Tina at work was always a fun passtime for Sanako.
1st-Dec-2006 12:00 am (UTC) - Rhia and Striker
Rhia blinked looking calmly at Tina, before sharing a glance with her brother who shrugged nonchalantly and smiled.

Rhia sighed, that was Striker for you...

"Arranged marriage can be quite tedious, I find such relationships never really have the fun filled spark, unlike suitors chosen by the child to be married, those often end up to be much more interesting." She said mildly, a sour smile on her lips.

Striker sighed.
"Pardon her tone, if I am to guess correctly her fiance, Prince Alexander made another unseemly remark, he is something of a sexist you see, we're having a hard time curing him of it." He remarked calmly.
1st-Dec-2006 12:49 am (UTC) - Sanako and Tina
"...Is he?" asked Tina, seeming a little disgruntled by the notion. "Well, obviously he doesn't seem to suit. Perhaps if he's violent and you have no qualms in the idea, I can get Heji to remove him for you, once he comes back..."

Sanako cleared his throat. "Sister, I don't take to your using Heji as a tool for... destruction, in general. His bounty is likely rather high from what he has done already..."

"He's hardly done anything," Tina corrected, shutting her eyes knowledgeably. "A few counts of 'vandalism' as they call it, destroying one or two buildings either by accident or for good reason. And he's started a successful duty in rooting out those who would do great harm to another."

"Either way, my sister, his methods are not to be done so publically," Sanako reminded her. "To explain that the body with a gaping hole where its face once was, was a man about to commit murder, doesn't bode well with authorities."

"...But back on topic," Tina continued, brushing the comment off. "If he's the one marrying into the family, obviously you, as ruler of four countries, hold vito power and could have him dealt with if you must. Either officially or in a more subtle way.
21st-Dec-2006 11:31 pm (UTC) - Rhia and Striker
Rhia looked as if she were seriously considering the idea when Striker broke in with a nervous laugh.
"No, please don't tempt her... she might just take it seriously..."

Rhia sighed and playfully smacked the back of Striker's head smiling graciously at both him, Sanako and Tina.

"Thank you for the offer, but no. Despite he's an annoying bastard, a lousy friend sometimes and a miserable man, he did... eventually--risk life and limb for me, and he does love me, it's just questionable sometimes." She said in a soft mutter.

Striker sweatdropped.

"A-anyway... perhaps we should mvoe to a more cool location? It's getting rather humid out here..." He commented fanning himself idly.
23rd-Dec-2006 09:25 am (UTC) - Re: Rhia and Striker
"...I suppose we should," said Tina, glancing around a little. "I've eaten already today, though. Actually, I was looking- pardon... on my way to the Market District. I've yet to see what this city has to provide for Alchemical supplies."

"Then I suggest we go, and at great haste," said Sanako, smiling cheerily. "As, well, not many things in this wide Earth quite compare to the smell of rotting dragon."
1st-Jan-2007 08:20 am (UTC) - Rhia and Striker
Striker blinked at her pause, but shrugged.

"Very well, we shall proceed to the markets then." He said smiling genuinely.

Rhia smirked. "Shopping? There had better be something explosive involved, I'm in the market for violence." She teased as she gently elbowed her brother with a giggle.

Striker raised his eyes to the heavens and began to pray.
1st-Jan-2007 08:42 am (UTC) - Sanako and Tina
Tina overheard the comment as she began walking. He glanced over to Striker. "Just what does Lady Rhia mean?"

Sanako paused a moment, humming in thought. A smirk crossed him by. Maybe the day's fun wasn't over just yet.
9th-Jan-2007 11:21 pm (UTC) - Striker and Rhia
Striker sweatdropped slightly and began laughing in a nervous manner.

"Please pay her no mind, whenever she gets into one of her moods-"
"One of my moods" Rhia repeated dangerously and Striker laughed nervously once again.
"Humor me Rhia... she's a little bit violent. But please don't quote me in the 'little' part."

Rhia smirked.
"Ignore him Miss Lante, he's rather shy around aggressive women."
"It's called self preservation, dear sister."
"I'd rather say it's called 'having no balls' Striker."
"You've got it all wrong, it's preservation of balls." Striker muttered darkly but chuckling all the same,
10th-Jan-2007 05:19 am (UTC) - Tina and Sanako
"...Well, as it stands, there is something explosive involved," Tina stated matter-of-factly, completely ignoring the discussion of Striker's scrotum for now. "I need to stock up on defensive and... offensive potions. I've also recently found a book on Homonculus creation. Actually, it was a gift from our God. I plan to bring it into use as well..."
16th-Jan-2007 11:41 pm (UTC) - Striker and Rhia
Rhia began laughing.
"I like you Miss Lante, despite when all is said and done." She commented idly still chuckling.

Striker wrung his hands helplessly.
"N-no, no Miss Lante! I assure you there will be no... uhm... fighting from our end of things! Er- unless attacked of course! Er- or insulted, uhm, or provoked, or... oh dear." Striker felt a migraine worming it's way into his head.
10th-Feb-2007 09:53 pm (UTC) - Tina and Sanako
"Thank you, Lady Rhia," replied Tina, then looking to Striker oddly. "Oh, don't worry. I'm prepared to do battle, whatever comes our way. Friend or foe, as it were. Which is why I'm stocking up now. Perhaps I'll exhibit some of my abilities to you soon...

Sanako just kept smiling, strolling along peacefully. Tina could exhibit. She could probably create something potent enough to destroy the whole market district if she wanted...
24th-Apr-2007 12:56 am (UTC) - Striker and Rhia
Striker winced.
"I hope there is no need for such ... things." He finished rubbing his aching temples and sighing heavily.

Rhia shook her head as they entered the market square and began to spot shops of interest.
"Where was it you said you needed to go first?" She asked glancing at an interesting weaponry stand.
