Dark Alliance
Rabbi (Open only to Jean and and Rabbi)
26th-Jun-2006 11:38 am
It was 10 in the morning. The Rabbi was late. Normally he would've been upset... but he was to busy snoring so loudly that the entire Institution temple shook.

"RABBI!" Mendel called for what seemed like the billionth time. Suddenly he got a brain flash. "Rabbi someone is stealing all of the cheese!"

Instantly the Rabbi flew out of his room brandishing his weapon of choice, a long wooden shaft with a crescent shaped blade on either side, like a mad man.

"DROP THE CHEESE OR YER NUTS ARE MINE!!!!!" He screamed.

Thirty minutes later, Mendel explained the situation to him and the two of them were off to the docks.

(OOC: Brilliant Rabbi, brilliant. XDDD Lol!!)

Sitting on the pier idly, his attire hadn't changed much from yesterday, he was still wearing a drop-dead outfit, only this time it was a white vest with silver and black buckles, a pair of loose and water proof black pants, and a black coat covering these garments. Around his throat today was a white choker belt.

His body was relaxed as he flipped a page with a hand covered in a black fingerless glove, and he glanced idly up at the sun, before turning back to his book, mildly shaking his head.
28th-Jun-2006 04:54 pm (UTC) - Rabbi
The Rabbi walked off towards the pier, clad in his signature oversized black trench, wearing a black wide brimmed hat. His weapon was seperated into two parts and was concealed within the folds of his coat.

He spotted the young man and, with Mendel in tow, walked up to greet him.

"Morning, sorry I'm late I was... preparing."

(OOC: I am Brilliant aren't I? :))
29th-Jun-2006 04:55 am (UTC) - Jean
Jean glanced up and straightened, pushing the book into a pocket on the inside folds of his coat and straightening his collar.

He gave the Rabbi a raised eyebrow in reply, an obvious doubt of the man's statement, but said nothing else.

"... that's okay. Are we ready...?" He asked in a listless voice as he cocked his head to one side faintly.

(OOC: Yes you are. XD)

"Almost," said the Rabbi. He reached into one of his pockets and produced a vile of ice blue liquid. "You're going to be needing this. Just don't drink it..."

(OOC: SORRY I'M SLOW! :( )
4th-Jul-2006 07:30 pm (UTC) - Jean
Glancing at the vile but keeping his gaze locked on the Rabbi, Jean eye it calmly, before looking directly into the man's eyes, but made no move to take it.

He didn't sense anything dangerous about the vile, but it didn't mean he was so fool hardy as to take it with no qualms.

"... What is it?" He asked calmly.
6th-Jul-2006 06:03 pm (UTC) - Rabbi
"This," The Rabbi began, "is how we're gonna fight this thing. It's called frostskin essence. Very rare, very pricy, very potent. Once this stuff comes in contact with any liquid, it freezes it solid. More than solid actually. The stuff gets harder than most metals.

"What we're gonna do is wait for the sea serpent to come up partially. We'll both have two viles each. We'll simultaneaously poor one of our viles into the water from our ship. This won't only cut down it's mobility, but give us something solid to stand on giving us a slight advantage.

"Now if you're wondering what the other vile we have is for, we can also use this stuff as our most powerful weapon. If something were to drink this potion, it would freeze their body fluids solid and expand them causing a very painful and messy death. But we can not under any circumstances do that unless we have no other choice."

( OOC: BTW Aki you have mail)
6th-Jul-2006 10:19 pm (UTC) - Jean
Jean raised an eyebrow and eyed the vile a little more carefully, before taking it, noting how cool it was to the finger tips and glanced back at the Rabbi.

"... isn't this potentially disastrous to the local environment...? Not to mention the fishing industry of Sky City...." He said mildly.
7th-Jul-2006 09:01 pm (UTC) - Re: Jean
"The ice eventually melts and doesn't hamper the environment a bit. As for the fishing industry," he shrugged. "What's worse a temporary iceflow or a sea serpent?"
20th-Sep-2006 01:29 am (UTC) - Jean
"I suppose you have a point." Jean said softly and glanced at waters looking a bit troubled before his face smoothed over and his emotions were wiped blanks.

"Where do we start?"
20th-Sep-2006 11:26 pm (UTC) - Rabbi
The Rabbi didn't know why, but he felt like he'd been standing there for two months waiting for an answer and had a strong desire to kick the young man whose name he still didn't know in the crotch. He shrugged it off.

"Good question," he said. "To fight a sea serpent, we need to get onto open water. How do we do that? A ship my young friend." he said though Jean looked slightly older than him.

"First we have to get to the mainland, where the pier is." A playful smile crept across his face. "I trust you know how that works right?"
20th-Sep-2006 11:28 pm (UTC) - Jean
(OOC: Subtle.)

Jean shrugged and nodded.
"A bit." He admitted.
22nd-Sep-2006 01:34 am (UTC) - Rabbi
(OOC: Sorry couldn't resist. lol)

"Good," said the Rabbi as the three men aproached the edge of Sky City. "Cause that'll be what you're going to do if you don't like the alternative."

With that, a serious expression came over the Rabbi's face and a glowing blue magical symbol appeared at his feet. "Mendel, execute stage one!"

Mendel took out a bottle of holy water from one of his many bags and uncorked it. The water flew out of the bottle and circled the Rabbi. It then formed two columns connected to the Rabbis back.

"Stage two!" A localized cyclone formed itself around the Rabbi and the columns were cut into a kind of wing shape.

"Stage three!" A blinding flash of light surrounded the Rabbi, causing Mendel to shield his eyes. When he regained his vision, he stared at the Rabbi in disbelief though he knew what would happen.

The Rabbi had donned a pair of angel wings with sparkling white feathers where water had once been. They moved and twitched as though they were living parts of his body.

He grinned at his companions. "All high ranking members of the institution have control of the element of light and two other elements. Only the most skilled can combine all three of them." He gestured to his new wings. "Water gives them mass, wind cuts them into shape, and light empowers them. This is how Mendel and I will be going to Ground City. I can carry both of you if you care to join us. Or if you prefer the alternative..."

Audible screams could be heard in the direction of the Ark.
12th-Oct-2006 10:34 pm (UTC) - Jean
Jean stared on, somewhat amazed, but his face remained expressionless.
When all was said and done, Jean couldn't help but wince slightly at his last words.

Yeah, Sky City really had to get better means of transportation.

"You don't have to worry about me." Jean said idly as he stood at the edge of the pier.
"I come with... naturally born assets for such situations as these." He admitted looking out at the drop below.
17th-Oct-2006 01:11 am (UTC) - Rabbi
"Suit yourself," the Rabbi said. He lifted himself into the air with his wings siliently kicking himself. Now he had practically advertised the fact that he was a Ten'yo. And a very powerful one too. No small Ten'yo could create those wings. 'Oh well,' thought the Rabbi. 'At least he doesn't know I'm the most powerful Ten'yo in the Holy Institution.' He hovered above Mendel and grabbed him by the wrist. "If you don't mind my asking, but I should know before we risk our lives, what's your name so I don't need to say you, all the time."
21st-Dec-2006 11:37 pm (UTC) - Jean
For a moment, Jean said nothing, before turning to the Rabbi giving him a tiny smile that reeked of sinister thoughts.

"Jean of the Celestials." And he took that one step.

The step that plunged him into a freefall through the sky.
24th-Jan-2007 04:41 am (UTC) - Rabbi
"Showoff," the Rabbi muttered.

With that he flew off the edge with Mendel and kept pace with Jean.

"If by some chance you survive," he shouted. "Meet me on the dock by the obvious looking ship."

He pointed towards a ship with blue sails and flew off in the general direction. He let Mendel down gently and landed, his wings de-materializing.

Waiting for him by the ship's gangplank(sp?) was a woman in her late 20's early 30's with blue hair.
